AgroCorp International has embarked on an ambitious multimillion dollar Canada wide upgrade for all our facilities.
On August 23, 2016, the Falher AB. site concluded a $1.18 million-dollar expansion providing for 1200 metric tonnes of additional storage complete with an improved handling system. The newly added storage allows the cleaners to handle product four days per week at a double shift pace and easily allows for loading of clean product at four times the number of cars in the same time. This was an upgrade necessary to meet the demands of our customer group during a busy harvest season.
The new system is a robust quality product built very strong while being extremely gentle on the fragile product it is handling. The new top grain loop turns very slowly and the storage bins are smooth walled with internal ladders for minimal product contact when the bin is being accessed. The bottom drag now moves a larger quantity of product at a slower speed and the delivery leg to the rail cars has exceptional capacity while being very gentle with the product it is handling. These improvements initiated by the AgroCorp team were identified to ensure that the product you are receiving is handled with the utmost care and attention to the quality you have come to expect from the AgroCorp group of companies.
The Innisfail plant has a storage capacity of 4,000 MT and has a handling capacity of 80,000 MT per annum. It has 30 rail car spots and lies in the CP rail lines. It is currently undergoing the first phase of expansion with new conveyors, high capacity shipping leg and loading bridge. Phase 2 will include 5,000mt of additional storage and cleaning house with air/screen, gravities and Colour sorters to be commissioned in 2015 in anticipation of huge demand
